A devastating mass shooting in Henry County, Georgia, claimed the lives of four individuals, prompting an intensive manhunt for the assailant, as reported by local authorities.

The chilling incident unfolded in the quiet town of Hampton, Georgia, on a Saturday morning. The victims, three male adults and one female adult, have yet to be identified. The police are still investigating the motive behind the shooting, leaving the community in a state of perplexity and shock.

In a stern warning to the perpetrator, Henry County Sheriff Reginald Scandrett vowed, "Wherever you are, we will hunt you down in whatever hole you are hiding in and bring you into custody. Period."

Georgia Mass Shooting Suspect Search

The suspect, Andre Longmore, a 40-year-old male, was quickly identified by the police, who now hold four warrants against him. Described as armed and dangerous, Longmore was last seen wearing a dark shirt with a red tone. His physical attributes indicate a height of around five feet ten inches.

He is believed to be traveling in a black 2017 GMC Arcadia with a tag number of DHF756. A bounty of $10,000 has been put forth for any information leading to Longmore's capture.

A Grieving Community

The mass shooting has left the Hampton community, consisting of 8,500 residents located approximately an hour south of Atlanta, Georgia, in a state of mourning. "This is a sad day in Hampton. It's not normal for us, and as a community, we will grieve together," expressed Hampton Police Department Chief James Turner.

The Henry County Police Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Henry County Homeland Security, and the Henry County Crime Scene Unit are all collaborating with Hampton police in handling the incident, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

A Call for Justice

Hampton Mayor Ann Tarpley has called the mass shooting "a sad and somber occasion," expressing her full confidence in the law enforcement agencies working tirelessly to bring the gunman to justice. She further urged the public to respect the privacy of the victims' families and support them during this distressing time.
