Machines of Loving Grace: The Race Toward Powerful AI

Dario Amodei posted an essay online titled “Machines of Loving Grace,” in which he shared his thoughts on the race to develop artificial general intelligence. He said artificial intelligence should be called “powerful AI” to separate it from “sci-fi” connotations.

 

The technologist predicts that “human AI”  will be developed by 2026. And claims that it will be like ‘a country of geniuses in a datacenter.’

Amodei is an Italian-American artificial intelligence (AI) researcher and entrepreneur. He co-founded Anthropic and now serves as the company’s CEO. And he came-to-fame as the Vice-President of OpenAI.

He is one of the early developers of AI, and an expert in large language models.  He is credited with developing Claude AI.
