In searching for exoplanets, JPL extended our knowledge of the edge of the known universe and will continue searching for signs of life.

From 2009, when it was launched, to 2018 when it was retired, NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope served as an observatory in space. Its mission was to find planets outside our solar system. The specific focus was on planets that looked most like Earth. During its mission, the Kepler observed 530,506 stars and discovered 2,662 exoplanets.

Lately, NASA and its private partners are moving at lightspeed. We even have a mission that took off in June and will land on Mars in February 2021. And SpaceX CEO Elon Musk launched his Tesla into space.

NASA Halloween will take you on a tour of some of the most terrifying and mind-blowing destinations in outer space. And if you visit the site you might want to roam around the galaxy on a virtual tour. Maybe after the initial fright, you might stay around to have some fun.
