Over the course of this month, news has broken of Romanian law enforcement continuing its digging into the human trafficking, rape, and organized crime accusations against the following persons:

• Andrew Tate
• Tristan Tate
• Georgiana Naghel
• Luana Radu

The latter women are associates of the two brothers. Though in late December, all four were arrested on the aforementioned charges. A Bucharest judge also confirmed each of them will remain detained until at least February 27. The Tate brothers also had their assets seized, both in Romania and abroad. These assets include cash, cars, watches, real estate properties, and more. New developments in this case currently show that Romanian officials are moving forward.

Both Tate brothers brought in for questioning

On Monday, both Tate brothers found themselves perp-walked into Romania's Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) office. Their stay lasted for a brief period of time. Though while they were there, Romanian media sources confirmed that DIICOT officials searched their electronic devices. This includes computers, tablets, and mobile phones belonging to the pair. So far, information downloaded from the Tates' electronic devices is expected to be ready to go within the next eight weeks. According to unnamed persons with knowledge of the case, Romanian officials are seeking more information regarding the Tate brothers' interactions with Naghel and Radu, along with the women all four individuals allegedly trafficked and assaulted. A bodyguard who worked at the Tate brothers' home, Bogdan Stancu, is likewise part of this case. Currently, he is a witness and is expected to appear before DIICOT officials soon enough.

Contradictions from Tate and more

Since his detainment, Andrew Tate has run with a narrative that Romania is corrupt and holding him without any evidence. While being perp-walked by Romanian officials within recent weeks, Tate even screamed to the press that "no justice" exists in the country. However, in prior video footage, Tate boasted about corruption in Romania. He alleged he could pay off officials and not have to deal with any of the rules there. Tate even went so far as to claim that Romania's rape laws aren't too strict. Because of this, many critics of Tate view his assertions of corruption now to be ironic. Meanwhile, since Tate's incarceration, WhatsApp messages of him telling a woman he enjoyed raping her have emerged. Much of the general public believes because of Tate's braggadocious nature via social media, he's already implicated himself in a series of crimes, thereby making the jobs of Romanian law enforcement officials much easier.
