As a means of offsetting this debt, the Georgia Democrat let go of employees working for her shortly after she lost her election last month. As things currently stand, vendors are still owed about $1 million from Abrams. When they will actually see these funds remains to be seen.
However, Democrats are not happy about how Abrams managed her campaign any more than they are about her losing to Kemp for a second time in a row.
Criticism from her fellow Democrats
In remarks to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Democratic official Greg Bluestein sounded off with his thoughts. According to Bluestein, the current state of Abrams’ campaign shows “bad planning.”
The Democratic official also opined that the current financial deficit Abrams’ campaign faces is revealing of her values and the values of those surrounding her. After all, as Bluestein explained, coming to the realization you can’t pay what you owe is not something that one just suddently realizes.
Some staffers who used to work for the Georgia Democrat also slammed her management of funds. According to these folks, Abrams spent top dollar on home rentals so she could make cool TikTok videos.
