According to Silicon Valley insiders, Microsoft’s extended partnership with the ChatGPT-designer could prove to be an excellent investment. Some people think replace Google.

Last week Microsoft announced that its pouring billions into Open AI through its extended partnership with ChatGPT. And that it will enhance AI research and democratize it as a technology platform. 

There are rumors that ChatGPT is slated to be the new enhanced Bing. This is the web search engine owned and operated by Microsoft. And insiders believe that the combined technology could far surpass Google.

Prior to the partnership announcement Microsoft cut 10,000 jobs from its platform. 

Technology experts 

Hudson Institute senior fellow Arthur Herman warns that OpenAI’s program, ChatGPT could push the country into a “different kind of credential society.”

The tech sector has already been experiencing unprecedented layoffs following its hiring spree during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Herman says that speculation about Open AI replacing Google may already be under consideration by Google’s parent company Alphabet which just laid off 12,000 workers.
