Digital Media Confusion: Recognizing Content “Imagined with AI”

    Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, announced its new AI transparency policy.  Meta aims to address the escalating concerns surrounding AI generated media with the label “Imagined with AI.”

    Meta Labels

     Nick Clegg, Meta’s president for global affairs, emphasized in a February 6 blogpost the importance of providing users with the necessary tools to discern AI-generated content. The introduction of the label “Imagined with AI” is a proactive measure.

    The ever-evolving digital world is fed by rapidly generative AI, Meta’s initiative comes as a response to the pressing need for enhanced scrutiny over rapidly evolving technologies such as generative AI.
