HOUSTON — Fish & Richardson PC has bolstered its intellectual property litigation group in Houston with the return of Tony Nguyen, a seasoned attorney who rejoined the firm after taking a year off to travel the globe with his wife.

Nguyen, who focuses on patent litigation and related intellectual property matters, shared with Law360 Pulse that his first call after completing his travels was to Fish & Richardson. “Fish has welcomed me back with open arms,” Nguyen said. “Fish is the best, and I am lucky to have had this opportunity.”

Nguyen and his wife, after she completed her graduate degree in epidemiology, embarked on a journey that took them to France, Japan, Hungary, and various parts of the U.S., including Brooklyn, California wine country, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He believes this experience has broadened his perspective and enhanced his problem-solving capabilities.

“It has helped broaden how I look at things and enhanced my problem-solving capabilities,” Nguyen said. “It got me out of my routine, and in traveling, I was able to see how others react to challenges and solve problems. I think I’ll be more creative in finding solutions to solve my clients’ issues. It also increased my interpersonal skills, and I believe that will make me more effective.”
