This scenario becomes extremely unlikely on Tuesday when Senate Majority Leader and Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell acknowledge Biden’s victory and congratulated him.

“Our country has officially a president-elect and a vice president-elect,” the Senate Majority Leader said. “The Electoral College has spoken. So today, I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden.”

His congratulations and acknowledgment of Biden drew the ire of the president on Twitter where he lashed out at him.

“Mitch, 75,000,000 VOTES, a record for a sitting President (by a lot). Too soon to give up. Republican Party must finally learn to fight. People are angry!” he said.

Chase said that under martial law the troops would “go and seize these [voting] machines and voting equipment to find the voter fraud. There needs to be a national audit.”

Martial law appears to be the only avenue left for the president to stay in the White House and it is possible that he could use that extreme measure if he believes he was wronged.

As martial law is not specifically addressed in the Constitution it is a murky legal strategy and would need to have the involvement and approval of military leaders.
