The Kamala Harris campaign has distanced itself from the controversy surrounding a CBS-edited segment of the Vice President’s “60 Minutes” interview. Former President Donald Trump demanded CBS issue an apology for airing two different versions of her response to a question.

In a teaser clip released online and during “Face the Nation” on October 6, Harris gave an extended response to correspondent Bill Whitaker’s question about U.S. influence over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The clip was widely panned, and her answer was very difficult to understand.
However, the final version that aired on October 7 was a lot different, and at least 50% shorter.
The two versions of the interview have circulated widely on social media, and many are calling for CBS to release the full transcript of the interview.
CBS-edited Interview causes Controversy
Trump, in a post on Truth Social, criticized the editing, claiming, “I’ve never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced Lyin’ Kamala’s answers…all in an effort, possibly illegal…to make her look more Presidential.”
