Latest On Sidney Powell And Trump Team

Speculation is running rampant after the legal team for President Donald Trump issued a statement distancing themselves from Sidney Powell.
The president had formerly said on Twitter that Powell was part of the team but in a stunning press release on Sunday the team disputed that.
"Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity," the note from former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis said.
But in a tweet just over a week ago, the president identified Powell as a part of his legal team.
“I look forward to Mayor Giuliani spearheading the legal effort to defend OUR RIGHT to FREE and FAIR ELECTIONS! Rudy Giuliani, Joseph diGenova, Victoria Toensing, Sidney Powell, and Jenna Ellis, a truly great team, added to our other wonderful lawyers and representatives!" he said.
General Michael Flynn, who has also been represented by Powell, sent a tweet in which he said Powell was suspended from Twitter but that she agreed with the Trump team’s assessment.
“.@SidneyPowell1 has been suspended from Twitter for 12 hours. She understands the WH press release & agrees with it. She is staying the course to prove the massive deliberate election fraud that robbed #WeThePeople of our votes for President Trump & other Republican candidates,” he said.
And Flynn’s son, Michael Flynn Jr., shed some more possible light on what was happening when he posted on Parler.
“Wrt the @jennaellisesq press release,” he said. “Cannot confirm yet but I’m confident this has to do w money coming in for legal defense fund sppt."
“@sidneypowell has her own separate entity 4 legal donations that isn’t in conjunction w the Trump legal team. Frees SP 2 do her own thing...which will STILL b biblical,” he said.
And Lin Wood, another independent attorney who has been working on lawsuits pertaining to the election, had his own take.
“Sidney Powell @SidneyPowell1 & I are more alike than we are different. We are fighting different legal battles for the same clients - We The People. The People voted overwhelmingly to re-elect @realDonaldTrump. All interests are aligned,” the attorney said.
“There are no coincidences. Everything is planned. Stay strong in your faith. Be patient. Trust the Lord,” he said.
Powell herself sent her own press release where she vowed to continue the fight and predicted a “Kraken on steroids.”
“I understand today’s press release,” she said. “I will continue to represent #WeThePeople who had their votes for Trump and other Republicans stolen by massive fraud through Dominion and Smartmatic, and we will be filing suit soon.”
