The House Minority Leader then declared that each of the aforementioned things are every bit as racist as critical race theory. After McCarthy stated that Democrats traded in supporting the Ku Klux Klan for supporting critical race theory, he noted the racist pasts of Democrats like President Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Both Biden and Pelosi infamously lauded and exalted Robert Byrd, a Democrat senator with extensive involvement in the KKK. Finally, McCarthy slammed today’s Democrat Party for continuing its pattern of using race and skin color as the primary means of assessing an individual’s character.
Rejecting critical race theory
Several Republican governors across America have acted to ensure critical race theory is not taught to children in public schools.
This is happening for many reasons. For starters, classrooms are not arenas for the imposition of political ideologies onto children; secondly, the core tenets of critical race theory wrongly cite race as an individual’s defining attribute.
