Oliver Tree rose to international fame through his unique blend of alternative rock, pop, electronic music, and hip-hop, paired with an eccentric visual style and humorous public persona.

Born in California, he began releasing music independently before signing with Atlantic Records. He was active as a recording artist from approximately 2010 through 2026, steadily building a worldwide fan base through streaming platforms, viral videos, and energetic live performances.

Tragic Helicopter Crash

Tree was among six people killed when two helicopters collided over Recreio dos Bandeirantes, a neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 14. He was 32 years old.

Authorities continue investigating the cause of the collision.

His mother, Christine Begin Nickell, remembered her son as someone who "made this world a better place," a sentiment echoed by thousands of fans who have shared memories and tributes online.

Although his life ended far too soon, his family hopes his foundation will ensure that his passion for art continues to inspire future generations.
